Campbell.HR are working with Native American Bank (NAB) to place their next Loan Operations Supervisor. The Loan Operations Supervisor will be responsible compliance with regulations, ensuring efficient workflows, and development of Loan Operations staff.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day workflow of the Loan Operations Department.
- Lead, train, and mentor loan operations staff, set performance goals, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations.
- Formulate, develop and implement loan operations procedures and policies, ensure adequate internal controls measures.
- Resolve complex loan-related issues, serve as a point of contact for lenders and other departments, and provide internal support.
- Collaborate with internal department and external stakeholders to establish positive working relationships and ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all State and Federal Regulations, receive and research new regulations, policies and procedures and implement them. Stay current on compliance and regulations by attending seminars and reading available information. Ensure necessary changes or recommendations have been implemented as needed.
- Review compliance with requirements and regulations of government guaranteed credit enhancement programs such as BIA, SBA, HUD and USDA, and complete documents related to these programs. Make sure all government guaranty conditions are met.
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly reports for board meetings, governmental guarantees, and other reporting as needed.
- Provide technical expertise, handle, and resolve complex matters, core business critical issues, inquiries and complaints from internal and external customers.
- Manage new and renewed loans processes, boarding new loans to the core system, perfecting security interest, processing subsequent advances and payments, maintaining negotiable collateral files.
- Direct loan closings, work with bank’s counsel and other parties such as SBA or USDA consultants, review internally and externally prepared loan documents.
- Responsible for quality control by reviewing loan files for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage processing of special assets, charged off and repossession, participation, and syndications.
- Manage construction draws processing.
- Prepare for audits and examinations. Remediate audit and examination exceptions. Liaison to the external and internal auditors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related fields.
- 7+ years previous experience in commercial lending with a deep background in loan processing and funding, loan documentation, collateral perfection, and portfolio maintenance required.
- Knowledge of SBA and USDA guidelines, processes and regulations governing servicing actions preferred.
- Familiarity with New Markets Tax Credits is helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents.
- Strong understanding of accounting-related topics that impact loan portfolios.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and comprehensive understanding of reporting standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of loan operations practices and procedures.
- Experience working with complex commercial loan structures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, lenders, and management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, multi-task and organize priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
