As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor within their MEP team. You’ll guide projects from concept through construction, contribute to quality assurance, and help develop the next generation of engineering talent.

What You Will Do:

Lead with Technical Expertise 

  • Serve as Engineer of Record for electrical systems. 
  • Design power, lighting, and lowvoltage distribution systems with a focus on performance, safety, and longterm reliability. 
  • Perform engineering calculations, system analyses, and code reviews. 

Collaborate Across Disciplines 

  • Coordinate with internal MEP teams, architects, and external consultants from project kickoff through completion. 
  • Lead design and construction meetings with clarity and professionalism. 
  • Support client relationships through responsive communication and technical excellence. 

Mentor & Develop Talent 

  • Provide guidance, feedback, and technical support to junior engineers and designers. 
  • Participate in structured checkins and professional development discussions. 

Manage Projects Effectively 

  • Oversee a balanced portfolio of projects with support from project managers and design staff. 
  • Maintain quality, schedules, and budgets through organized planning and proactive communication. 
  • Address design and construction challenges with sound engineering judgment. 
  • Create contracts and fee proposals with transparency and care. 

Support Construction Administration 

  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits to verify design intent. 
  • Participate in field observations and coordinate with contractors as needed. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, Required. 
  • Ability to obtain Texas PE licensure. 
  • 10+ years of electrical design experience in municipal/aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors. 
  • 7+ years of hands-on MEP design experience. 
  • 3+ years of project management experience.

Chief Operations Officer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Campbell HR is with CNG Engineering in the search for a Chief Operations Officer who can assist in the growth and development of the company.

The Chief Operations Officer provides strategic and hands-on executive leadership across all operational functions of the firm. This role drives operational discipline, efficiency, and alignment within a fast-paced, project-centric environment.

The COO oversees accounting, human resources, marketing, business development and critical infrastructure systems, and key performance metrics to executive leadership. This position participates and monitors performance against targets and recommends
corrective actions as needed.

The COO establishes and enforces internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This role leads operational improvement initiatives, evaluates business systems and workflows, partners with leadership to scale operations efficiently as the firm grows and promotes a company culture that supports high performance and strong morale.

Serving as a key advisor to the CEO and Principals. The COO supports informed decisionmaking across the organization. This position ensures that business processes align with
sustainable growth, competitive pricing, and the timely delivery of profitable, high-quality engineering design services. The COO brings proven experience optimizing systems and
processes and a collaborative leadership style.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or liberal arts
  • Expertise in project management, business operations, organization development, and
    leadership.
  • Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive operations experience and/or organizational leadership.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a senior leadership or executive role within a
    growth-oriented organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across
    teams and with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Industry experience in consulting within engineering design, construction management
    or another project-based professional services firm.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability
    to pass a background check.

Expectations

  • Partners with the CEO and Principals to shape financial strategy, annual planning and
    long-term growth objectives, translating business strategy into actionable operational
    plans across all departments.
  • Evaluates business opportunities, including service-line expansion, geographic growth,
    joint venture partnerships and selective acquisitions
  • Monitors critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including net revenue, labor
    utilization rate, net labor multiplier, work in progress, accounts receivable aging,
    backlog health, overhead rate, indirect labor and project gross margin
  • Provides strategic insight into firm-wide department-level performance
  • Leads regular operational meetings focused on project status, risk management and
    resource allocation
  • Collaborates with Human Resources on talent acquisition, development, performance management, skills mapping, employee relations and training needs
  • Leads the development and refinement of standard operating procedures and
    automations to improve workflows, streamline processes and enhance internal
    communication
  • Reviews vendor agreements for acceptable fee terms, payment provisions, retainage,
    indemnity and limitation of liability.
  • Ensures and maintains adequate insurance coverage, including professional liability,
    cyber and general liability
  • Oversees timely filing and management of corporate registrations, certifications and
    operational documentation
  • Administers and optimizes Employee Resource Planning Software.
  • Fosters a culture of service, technical excellence, accountability, responsiveness and
    collaboration

Electrical Engineer

  • Ability to work within established project workflows and documentation standards. 

 Preferred Qualifications (Based on Experience Level) 

  • Experience in municipal, aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors 
  • Experience leading tasks or supporting project phases. 
  • Texas PE license or ability to obtain licensure (preferred for experienced-level candidates) 
  • 1+ years of project management or task lead experience.

Campbell.HR has partnered with CNG Engineering in their search for a Mechanical Engineer. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex design challenges, contributing to multidisciplinary teams, and developing expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design.  

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems from concept through construction. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, adhere to codes and standards, and contribute to highquality project delivery.

What You Will Do:

Support Technical Excellence 

  • Contribute to the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional facilities. 
  • Perform load calculations and apply engineering principles to support system design. 
  • Prepare mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents under the direction of a Project Manager or Licensed Engineer. 
  • Maintain drawing quality standards and follow established BIM procedures. 

Collaborate Across Disciplines 

  • Coordinate work efforts with multidisciplinary engineering teams and CAD/Revit design teams. 
  • Set up BIM models from architectural and structural Revit files and create MEP discipline work sets. 
  • Participate in design and construction meetings and communicate clearly with project partners. 

Support Construction Administration 

  • Conduct construction site visits and field surveys to verify code compliance, construction progress, and asbuilt conditions. 
  • Develop meeting minutes, site observation reports, and other documentation. 
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent and specifications. 
  • Respond to RFIs in a timely and organized manner. 

Ensure Code Compliance & Quality 

  • Research code issues and coordinate with City, State, and County officials to support compliance. 
  • Apply sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for projectspecific solutions. 
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with accuracy and accountability. 

Grow & Contribute 

  • Work directly with senior engineers to develop new designs and solutions. 
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution 
  • EIT certification preferred 
  • 4+ years of MEP mechanical design experience in municipal/aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors 
  • Ability to obtain Texas PE licensure within 24 months 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable MVR required for site visits and field work 
  • Ability to pass a background check, consistent with applicable law and company policy.
