Bookkeeper

Product-Based, In-House Manufacturing

Location: Colorado

BodyLove by Tal is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with experience in product-based, in-house manufacturing businesses to maintain accurate financial records and inventory tracking. This role is critical to the company’s financial health, visibility, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks
  • Track raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
  • Record and reconcile inventory purchases and usage
  • Accurately calculate and maintain Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Allocate labor and production-related expenses appropriately
  • Reconcile Shopify sales, payment processors, and bank accounts monthly
  • Account for waste, test batches, shrinkage, and spoilage
  • Support the monthly close and prepare clean, reliable financial reports
  • Collaborate with the CPA for oversight and tax preparation

 

Required Experience

  • Product-based bookkeeping experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Shopify integration
  • Ability to clearly explain financials to leadership

CPA/Accountant

Inventory, Manufacturing & Tax Strategy

Location: Colorado

BodyLove by Tal is seeking a CPA or experienced Accountant to provide financial oversight, compliance, and proactive tax strategy for a growing, product-based manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and oversee bookkeeping records for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure proper inventory valuation and expense classification
  • Provide tax planning and tax compliance (not filing-only support)
  • Support year-end close and preparation of financial statements
  • Advise on entity structure and tax efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to inventory and growth
  • Collaborate closely with the bookkeeper and financial advisor

 

Required Experience

  • CPA license preferred
  • Experience working with product-based or manufacturing businesses
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting methods
  • Proactive, strategic approach to tax planning and financial oversight

Financial Advisor

Founder-Focused, Product-Based Business

Location: Colorado

BodyLove by Tal is seeking a Financial Advisor to support high-level financial strategy for a founder-led, product-based manufacturing business. This role is advisory in nature and centered on cash flow, risk management, and long-term financial health — not solely investment management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on cash flow planning and forecasting
  • Support strategic decisions around reinvestment vs. reserves
  • Optimize profit margins and pricing strategy
  • Guide founder compensation planning (salary vs. distributions)
  • Help protect and clearly separate personal and business finances
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks during periods of growth
  • Collaborate with the CPA and bookkeeper to align financial strategy

 

Required Experience

  • Experience working with business owners, preferably product-based
  • Strong understanding of inventory-heavy cash flow and growth cycles
  • Fiduciary, fee-based advisor preferred
